LA part 2

So yesterday was pretty full on, we did an open top bus tour of hollywood and beverly hills.
We saw all the sights like the hollywood sign, rodeo drive, and sunset strip.

Rodeo drive is the most expensive shopping street in the world. Its unbelievable, so much money and the shops are all big names.
This place is the most expensive of them all, it costs on average $15000 for a suit here.
All the cars were Bently's and rollers, check this one that was parked out front of the suit place, rolls royce convertable,
Last night we hit up Sunset strip, we ate dinner at a famous rock bar called the rainbow, there are signed pictures of hair metal heroes all through the place.

After that we went to the famous whisky au go go. Some guys gave us free tickets because their band was playing. It was rad to go inside there but the bands were all cheesy rock acts and boring. There was about 20 people in the place but they still pulled all the rock moves as if they were plaing in front of 20,000.

I liked this sign from inside the venue, Miller high life is like a dodgy beer that only comes in a tallie.

Today we are heading to Vegas, its about a 7 hour bus ride, but I can't wait to get there.

Hollywood bound

We arrived in LA yesterday after a mammoth flight via fiji, and after spending 2 hours waiting to get through customs we were finally on our way to Hollywood. Its pretty cool here but very hot and there is no parks or grass and hardly any trees any where, just concrete buildings everywhere.
Also nobody walks anywhere, once you leave the main Hollywood Blvd where all the tourists are the footpaths are empty.
Today we must have walked for Miles, we went down to melrose ave to look at some shops and stuff. On the way we passed paramount studios.

We also passed this awesome car.
I saw some awesome graffitti down on Melrose, here is some shots, this city really is great for graff, its all concrete.

This one was my favourite.
I also though this was cool.
Our Hostel is right off Hollywood Blvd and the walk of fame.
They have all the big stars on there,

And some questionable ones too.

I liked this one though.
We are also near Gaumann's chinese theatre.

I liked the other side of the road more though,

The Last NZ Post

We left NZ yesterday after a couple of days in Christchurch and a night in Auckland. Here are the last few shots. Its Autumn there at them moment and the whole town is brown, it looks really nice.

On Thursday Night we went out for a Alice's birthday.

The birthday girl
I had to put this one in, the food looks good Dan.
The morning we left we had a breakfast with Sarah's family.
Thanks to Linda and John for having us, we had a great time and always make me feel at home when we come visit.

Finally here is some photo's of the sweet ride we took to the airport, John just got this a few weeks ago and its beautiful.

The personalised plates are badass
So after a great night in Auckland with Jessie, (thanks for having us Jess) we have now touched down in LA, Got here last night and haven't seen much yet but there will no doubt be plenty of adventures to come.
